Memorial Weekend Celebration at Trinity
We honor those soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice
in laying down their lives for our nation
Saturday 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:30 a.m. Worship Services
Slowly, we are re-congregating in traditional ways again. The weekend of May 30, 2021, provides an excellent opportunity and Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of West Maple and Gap Street opens our doors to you. Join us as we thank God for those veterans who made the supreme sacrifice, giving their lives, where our nation entered war. Our hymnody will reflect a national theme, in particular a memorial for our veterans, “Eternal Father Strong To Save.” A bugler has been secured who will close our worship service with the traditional piece used throughout our nation on Memorial Day. Air Force Veteran, Thomas Miller, will share the moving poetry of the weekend entitled “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae. Prayers for our deceased veterans and our nation will be offered along with scripture that brings together God and country. Please add this special element to your weekend (we have a large worship space where you can easily social distance) and join us for worship; 10:30 AM / SUNDAY / MAY 30. Most elements will be offered at 5:00 p.m.
