Community Ascension Day Church Service

This year, May 29 is Ascension Day on the church calendar.
This holy day is often overlooked, yet it is the day when we remember
the risen Jesus leaving his disciples, returning to heaven,
and receiving full authority from the Father – a cosmic coronation ceremony!
The Tri-Valley Ministerium will host a service at

St. James Lutheran Church in Pitman
at 7pm on May 29th.

Seed and Soil Sunday

We live in an agrarian geographic area.
Families near and dear to us have placed their lives,
their calling in God’s good creation,
Into the hands of the Almighty
Who sends the rain, sunshine and places into motion photosynthesis.

SEED AND SOIL SUNDAY
May 11 at 10:30 AM

You are welcome to bring your seeds, sets, plants (if not too early)
for a blessing that Sunday.
Place them in front of the altar
as we bring God’s creation into sacred space.
You will be able to take them home after the service.

Bible Study

Monday evenings, 6:00 PM in the Church Overflow

Our goal is to read the entire Bible in about a year and discuss what we’ve read. To do this we are using The Bible Recap, a One-Year Guide to Reading and Understanding the Entire Bible by Tara-Leigh Cobble in conjunction with The Bible Recap Journal, Your Daily Companion to The Entire Bible. For further information contact the church office.

All are welcome and your friends, too! It’s never too late to join us.

Youth Activities

Agape Table Meal

May’s Agape Meal will be held on
Wednesday, May 14th, at 5:30 PM
in the Social Hall.

May’s menu will be roast pork, filling/gravy, corn, and cake.

Trinity’s Agape Table meal is always free. No offering is ever taken at the meal. Although registration is not required, signing up helps the Kitchen Committee better plan the amount of food to cook. You can sign up on the easel at the back of the sanctuary, or by calling the church office at (570) 682-9373.

Trinity Prayer Chain

Trinity has started up our prayer chain again using a text group.
Anyone can send a text to the group requesting prayer.
For further information contact the church office.
