25th Apartment Cleaned and Furnished for Adopt-An-Apartment Program

On Saturday, May 17, 2025 we completed the cleaning and furnishing of a 25th apartment for the Brethren Housing Association’s Adopt-An-Apartment Program. Located in Harrisburg, this apartment is a second and third floor, three-bedroom residence. Thank-you to everyone for your donations of furniture and household items, for transporting all the items and furniture to Harrisburg and for cleaning and setting up this apartment to make it a home for a mother and her young children.

BHA has programs or partners with other organizations to help young mothers become self-sufficient. Included is job training/seeking/maintaining services, parenting education, life skills training, counseling services, and youth programs for the kids. BHA staff and volunteers continuously show these moms the love and care they need to develop and realize their own self-worth, empowering them to overcome the obstacles that lead them to the homelessness situation.
