September-October Highlights

Trinity Youth Group Meeting

On Saturday, October 4th, Trinity’s Youth Group enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon in the corn maze, on a hayride and doing other fall activities at Schwartz’s Farm.

St. Francis Day/Blessing of the Animals

During worship on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, we celebrated St. Francis Day with the Blessing of the Animals.

The Blessing
You were created by God
And you are loved by God
May you and your human family
Experience joy and companionship together
And continue to be a blessing to each other.
In the name of the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Amen

A Prayer Attributed to Francis of Assisi

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

Community Awareness Night

JoEllen Fetterolf and Robin Otto represented Trinity at the Tri Valley Community Awareness Night to promote our Agape Meal to all families and individuals in our community and to get the word out about our Youth Worship Service.

Rally Day

On Sunday, September 7th we celebrated Rally Day, the start of our Christian Education Program for 2025-2026. Our worship service centered on sharing highlights of the lessons and songs from this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) Program, “True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. VBS was held June 8-12, from 6-8pm at Trinity.

This year’s program taught us about several Alaskan animals and connected their unique adaptations and characteristics to fit the lesson of the night.

  • Ponder, the otter, is playful and intelligent and taught us when we WONDER, we can trust Jesus.

  • Clawdia, the crab, is a social creature that depends on others for foraging, building nests, and raising offspring. She taught us when we feel ALONE, we can trust Jesus.

  • Kody, the bear, taught us when we feel POWERLESS, we can trust Jesus.

  • Ernest, the eagle, taught us when we need HOPE, we can trust Jesus.

  • Bruce, the moose, taught us when we need HELP, we can trust Jesus.

All the lessons demonstrated the theme of the night and came from the book of Matthew.

We had between 16-21 kiddos each night and over 15 teen and adult helpers.

We raised over $150 which will be donated to the TV charities.

It’s always a very rewarding experience. Please contact the church office if you’d like to be part of this amazing week or if you have children, grandchildren or little friends who would enjoy learning with us. Our VBS is open to all children, not just members of Trinity!

Youth Service

A Youth Service was held on Sunday, September 21, at 6:00 PM. The theme for the event was “Live at Peace.” If possible, live at peace with everybody. Youth and Adults were invited to attend.
