November Highlights

All Saints Sunday, November 4-5

This year in our Festival of All Saints we remembered those who have gone on before us:

  • Carole Shadle

  • Edward Kiesel

  • Alice Kuczawa

  •  Betty Schreffler

  • Bradd Herb

  • Michael Kodack, Sr

Rest eternal grant them, O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon them.

We Honored Our Veterans

Our Veterans – Ron Spotts, Vernon Schlegel, Jim McDonald On November 11-12, we recognized our veterans for their service to our country – those who served their nation when they were summoned or when they were received as they volunteered. You kept our nation intact. For the sacrifice of time, possibly your life, your gifts, thank you for your service.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection

On Sunday, November 19th we gave thanks to God and asked for God’s blessing on our Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes to the praise and glory of God. We pray the children receiving them will feel the love of God and the love from those who prepared the boxes. Thirty shoeboxes were taken to the distribution center in Millersburg. Thank you to everyone for your generosity by participating in the 2023 Operation Christmas Child Shoebox collection.

Advent Craft Faire

On Sunday, November 26th we ushered in our celebration of Advent with our traditional Advent Craft Faire. Thanks to the generosity of crafters in our congregation, we were again able to enjoy our Advent Craft Faire where we made great Christmas crafts. Christmas Joy!

Annual Nativity Puppet Show

On Sunday, November 26th we had our annual puppet show telling the story of Jesus’ birth. We like to have this puppet show on or before the first Sunday in Advent to help focus on the real meaning of Christmas during the Christmas Season. Following the puppet show this year we added some Christmas games to our celebration of the season.

Trinity’s New Pouring Chalice and Paten

There came a point two years ago we decided that we would inventory our Communionware. We found almost every piece pitted in some way. Next step we sought silver workers and recommendations regarding restoration. We brought Memorial monies together to fund this project. As the final subsidization came together, you will encounter the new communionware whenever you receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Agape Table Meal

November’s Agape meal served 80 meals. December’s Agape Meal will be held on Wednesday, December 13, at 5:30 PM in the social hall. The menu will be meatloaf, roast potatoes/carrots, pepper cabbage, and homemade Christmas cookies. Please consider joining us for food and fellowship! Pass the word to your friends and neighbors.
