It is so good to serve others!  I am one week removed from the cleaning of the apartment we are adopting.  Today, people are going to paint, and on Saturday there are others going to move furniture in.   By the time you are reading this, we will be well on our way to finishing the furnished apartment. 

The Youth Groups held their 4th Annual Spaghetti Dinner at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 22nd.  We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to make this dinner such a huge success! 

This year for Music Recognition Sunday we had Trinity’s first Polka Service during our Sunday 10:30 AM worship service. 

Our April Agape Community Meal fed 70 people.  Once again we thank the Junior Youth group for setting up the tables and chairs, for setting the tables and for everyone who prepared desserts for the meal. 

On Saturday, April 7th we had a great crew of hard workers come out to clean up the church grounds. 

Our Students who completed their First Communion instruction received their First Communion on Easter Sunday, April 1st.

We recently received a new-to-us chalice from English Lutheran Church in Minersville, which closed and had their last service last month. A piece of them will live on with us when we celebrate communion!

The Senior Youth Group prepared 50 sandwiches for Haven Ministry in Sunbury in April.  We thank them for helping to feed the residents of that homeless shelter! 

A ceremony to award an Ambassador of Peace Medal to Korean War Veterans was held in April as an expression of appreciation from the South Korean Government.  A local family attended with their father, a Korean War Veteran.

On Wednesday mornings, I typically drop Timmy off at my aunt's house in the morning so that I can go and take care of pastoral responsibilities.  Lately, before I drive down to Valley View, I have begun to add something else to the ritual.

For the April Outreach Project, the Discipleship Committee will be collecting items to fill Mother's Day Gift Bags for the Moms at Brethren Housing Association (BHA). 

The Senior Youth Group will be ending its year on Tuesday, April 10th.  For this day, we will be traveling to Haven Ministry in Sunbury to make sandwiches for the residents there.

The Discipleship Committee is working on filling Welcome Bags to be given to visitors.  Suggested items to include are a TLC mug, thanks for visiting note, list of outreach projects, TLC Brochure, and latest copy of the newsletter.
